Whether your a guide or not, many of the people invited to the Alpha are “leaders” of the vSide community. Being in vSide longer means you’re more familiar with it and the community at large, it does not mean that your opinion is more valid that someone who just created an account last week, or that you diserve some sort of special treatment. It’s ok to feel a sense of ownership and community in vSide, but this elitist attitude is downright disgusting to see happen. That right there is an attitude that sickens me. Mostly, I think the thing that has irked NftS most about this entire discussion has been this type of attitude: the idea that users who have been around and through other alphas somehow hold precedent over the rest of us (we have decided to refrain from quoting someone directly as not to target them). The new stuff has been slowly introduced in the older versions, we’ve all seen a good majority of it already. Other than that there’s some new apartments…but they look roughly about the same as the old ones (just a bit smaller). You have to be a brand new user to experience this tutorial. But here’s the thing, 100% (yes, 100%) of current vSide users will NEVER even see The Gateway. Why is this alpha apparently so different? Because new ‘worlds’ are opening up? If by worlds, you mean The Gateway (oops, spilled the beans) then yes. If we thought this was somehow hurting DG, or was against DG rules that we could find, we wouldn’t do it. If any DG staff member would like to email Ronnie or I and let us know what they’d like to keep a secret that’d be great. Not only that, some of the more outspoken members of this discussion posted YouTube videos of their last alpha experience! We got the go-ahead from staff when were were enjoying the Alpha, and researched whether or not it was ok to spill the beans. Like Ronnie said earlier, a lot of this information has been out for a long time. It seems as if NftS has stirred up controversy yet again, even causing a thread on the official vSide forums to be locked.
